| Resources and Information | o Instructions on how to record presentation are available on Otago Capture via Aoroa
o You will be emailed (university email) your material and a link to the marking Qualtrics survey in week 1 o All materials are in (Ashby, 2013) on eReserve o Look at the two example videos on presentation and critique (helpful for Ala and A1b) |
Assessment 1 Tasks
| 1a: Presentation Video: | You will be given a material and you are expected to undertake research on the extraction and processing sustainability of that material. Include the following in your presentation slides:
0o Material information: a typical use and some general information about the material o Extraction of raw material and where: a typical method, resources needed, emissions o Processing and where: a typical method, resources needed, emissions o Include data where appropriate o Include references/citations for images and data o Ensure size and clarity of images and font are legible when viewed as a powerpoint. You must then record a 3-4 minute presentation on your material. Any content after the 4.5 minute point will not be marked. The presentation may have up to 5 power point slides and the following format is suggested: Slide 1: Title slide (material name and your name only) Slide 2: Material information Slide 3: Extraction Slide 4: Processing Slide 5: References (for all information, data and images) |

o Record your presentation in Zoom o Upload your presentation to Aoroa as an mp4 file o If your presentation file size is too large to load onto Aoroa email your presentation to mats204@otago.ac.nz using MailExpress (https://www.otago.ac.nz/its/services/hosting/otago083157.html) 1b: o Familiarise yourself with the marking criteria – note that you must mark all five presentations in the same viewing period. You cannot go back to the marking Qualtrics once you have started marking. o Watch five presentations (five different materials and that is not the same as your material) on the ECH0360 folder. o Use the marking criteria to grade and comment on the presentations o Open Qualtrics (via the link sent to you previously in an email) and upload your marks and comments into it all at once. You cannot go back into Qualtrics once you have exited. |
