Learning outcomes

2. Analyse administration systems and processes to inform decision making for an organisation.

3. Recommend improvements to manage administration systems and processes in an organisation.

Assessment Overview

The aim of Assessment 3 is to analyse and recommend improvements to inform the organisation’s decision-making for managing its administration system and processes.

You will continue your report from Assessments 1 and 2, by adding a final part, Part C. Part C will provide a change management action plan for implementing the recommended solution from Part B, to improve your chosen organisation’s system or process. The action plan will be accompanied by an analysis that informs the organisation on why the recommendations in your plan are justified. The requirements to include in this final part of your report are provided below.

After finalising your report, you will need to complete a final task: a reflection on the entire report-writing process.

For additional guidance on mark allocation, please refer to the marking schedule below.

Task 1: Report – Part C

Continue working in your role as a consultant, within the same context you used in Assessments 1 and 2. This is either the case study provided or a current business you are working in.

As the organisation’s aim is to achieve seamless adoption and integration of changes within its existing administration systems and processes, you are instructed to prepare a change management action plan as the final part of this report.

Write the third and final part of your professional formal report for your chosen organisation’s management team, including the requirements below.

Change management action plan

Based on one (1) of the four solutions that you recommended in your Assessment 2 Report Part B, develop a change management action plan for implementing this improvement to the existing administration system or process.

In your change management plan, you must capture the five (a–e) elements below and present it in two (2) sections:

1. Action plan: An action plan that provides a clear outline of the practical steps to manage implementation of the solution.

2. Analysis: A supporting discussion that provides an analysis of how each of the five elements is reflected in the action plan and is justified in the context of this organisation’s administration system or process. Include one (1) real-life example from your research for each of the five elements.

Capture these five (a–e) elements in the change management plan practical steps and analysis:

a. Fair and efficient allocation of the three (3) most relevant resources that ensure the day-to-day operation of systems and processes runs seamlessly.

(Word count guideline: 200 words)

c. The impacts of potential influences from three (3) most relevant PESTEL external factors.

Writing with clear and professional language, free from spelling and grammatical errors.

(5 marks)

b. A minimum of five (5) credible and relevant sources that are correctly referenced throughout Part C of your report, with application of APA 7th edition format to both intext citations and the end-of-report reference list.

(5 marks)

(Total: 10 marks)

(Task 1 total: 80 marks)

Task 2: Reflection

As a self-employed consultant, reflecting on your professional practice is essential to ensure you deliver high-quality services that remain aligned with industry standards, client expectations and evolving business practices.

Reflect on the culmination of your work in creating this three-part report on Administration Systems and Processes for your case study organisation, across the assessments in this course. Create a new document and write a reflection that includes:

a. Two (2) ways you could obtain data or information from the organisation after you delivered your report to them, that would help you reflect on your work.

b. Two (2) insights you found when applying your existing knowledge and skills to the requirements of the three report parts: one strength and one gap/opportunity to improve with a specific self-development action you could take to improve future work.

c. One (1) aspect or topic you haven’t covered in your three-part report that you think would be beneficial to add for the case study organisation’s administration systems and processes improvement work. This could be an aspect that you realised was missing only after submitting your work, after receiving feedback, or from what you have come across in your research and was not part of the requirements.

Note: This reflection is not part of your report on the organisation’s case study. Please save it in a new Word document and upload it as a separate file for submission.
