HEN004 Research Assignment
A. The research assignment is worth a total of 19%.
B. 15% is for the paper itself (report) and 4% for the oral presentation.
C. If you do not turn in a research paper, you will not be allowed to present an oral presentation.
D. Your research paper is due in Week 12 on Friday, 9th of October 2026. Submit hard copies to the FOA Assignment Box and e-copies through Turnitin on MOODLE. (5 marks will be deducted each day after the due date INCLUDING the weekend)
F. Papers can be handed in to the FOA office starting from Week 12 Monday, 5th October and the Moodle Dropbox will be open on the same day at 9am.
G. Word limit is 1800-2000 words.
H. Your paper must be computerized and use double-spacing, Arial or Times New Roman font, size 12 print.
I. Your cover page must look exactly like the following with the correct information where indicated.
J. Failure to follow the requested format will result in an automatic deduction of 4 raw marks.
K. You must have a variety of sources for your research paper – a minimum of 10 written sources from newspapers, magazines, books, internet, CD Roms, etc.
L. You may not conduct interviews in any way, shape or form.
M. To plagiarize means to use somebody else’s words or ideas as your own without citing the source. Plagiarism is a criminal offense. Students found to have plagiarized their papers will receive “0” marks on their paper and may be referred to the Disciplinary Committee. (Make sure to use the Harvard Referencing as taught in this course)
N. Choose ONE topic from the topics below for your major project research paper. Choose carefully.
