You are asked to read broadly about leadership and management theories that relate to the healthcare context. Critically analyse the main points raised in your reading and summarise these in a 1000-1500-word précis.
Your work will include 5 different theoretical positions and can draw on different disciplinary knowledge; for example, psychology. You should describe each very briefly, explain where the ideas originated from (e.g. business, psychology, nursing etc.) and identify the strengths and weaknesses of the theories and their application and usefulness in health care.
