Submission
You need to present your Project Plan in the form of a professionally presented report describing the plan including assumptions, constraints, risks and control measures that you have incorporated into your plan.
The report should be 2,000 to 3,000 words plus appendices, tables, figures and drawings. You can produce a longer report if you like but you may be penalized if there is excess irrelevant information. The report should include material produced on MS Project to set out the program, budget, cash flow, resource usage and any other documentation that show the timing, resourcing
and budgeting of your plan. You also need to include a procurement and communications plans. The calculations used to determine the durations of each work package should be appended to your report.
Students are expected to use their own words for the whole report. Students should not copy text from other writers even if they acknowledge it as a quote. Copied sections will not be marked.
Reports are to be PDF documents with all figures and other attachments properly embedded in the document. It is suggested that you use a suitable PDF application to compile the document that allows you to combine files of varying page sizes and orientations into one document. The reports are to be submitted electronically to the course Moodle site.
For this assessment, you are not allowed to use Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) tools such as ChatGPT, Bard, Grammarly Go etc for any purpose, including summarizing texts on the subject. You may continue to use:
- spelling/grammar checkers, e.g., Microsoft spell-check, and Grammarly.
- referencing software, e.g., Endnote and Mendeley
- MS Project, CAD and all MS Office suite applications okay to use.
Engaging with Gen AI for this assessment constitutes, and will be treated as, a breach of academic integrity.
Students claiming APCs should submit what they have done at the submission time and consideration will be made during marking. Late submissions will not be accepted, and extensions of time is not granted as these delay the return of marked assessment to the rest of the class.
