Report Overview

Purpose: This assessment is designed to develop your critical understanding of diversity management training in New Zealand organisations by exploring various approaches, challenges, and theoretical applications.

Task: Drawing on the contents of your presentation (Assessment 2), you will submit an individual report focusing on your selected organisation. This report must include a comprehensive diversity training workshop plan, along with a critical evaluation and evidence-based recommendations addressing the identified diversity issue.

Please ensure that the diversity issue, theory, organisation, and consultancy focus align with those presented in your group presentation (Assessment 2). Your individual report should reflect your personal approach to the workshop plan, evaluation, and recommendations, demonstrating independent analysis and critical engagement with the topic.

Using AI in assignments:

• AI detection: Submissions will be reviewed for AI-generated content. The extent and nature of AI use, if detected, will be evaluated against the provided disclosures by the student. Unauthorised or inappropriate use of AI may result in students being required to take part in an oral examination, a significant grade deduction, and/or being referred to the academic integrity office for further investigation.

Essay Structure

Title Page:

1. Report title (Do not use Assignment 3 as your title).
2. Student name and ID.

Executive Summary (half a page, not part of the word-count)

Introduction

Provide an overview of the selected organisation, consultancy, diversity issue, and theory that underpin the training workshop

Workshop Plan:

Develop a structured 8-hour diversity training workshop that includes diversity-related activities. A table format (one page) is recommended to enhance clarity and organisation. Note that your theory should be part of the workshop plan.

Workshop evaluation of the workshop training (half a page) to assess its effectiveness, potential challenges, and expected outcomes

Recommendations that target the diversity issue and is appropriate to the organisational and societal contexts

Reference List:

Use APA 7th edition formatting.

• At least three scholarly sources (peer-reviewed journal articles or academic books)
• Unacceptable sources: Wikipedia, Investopedia, Dictionary.com, Essay.com, blogs, chat forums, or any unreliable online sources.
• Zero references = Zero mark.
